Ingredients
2 egg yolks
1/2 cup (tea) of sugar
1 cup (tea) wheat flour
2 cups cornstarch (or other cornstarch of your choice)
5 tablespoons of butter or margarine
Directions
- Add the cornstarch, wheat flour, sugar in a container and mix a little.
Add the egg yolks, butter or margarine and mix well until it comes away from your hands and the dough is homogeneous. - Shape the cookies the way you prefer, flatten them slightly with a fork and arrange them side by side on a greased and floured baking sheet, or one lined with parchment paper.
- Place the cookies in a preheated oven at 180º₢ and bake for approximately 20 minutes, or until they are lightly golden underneath.
- Wait for the cookies to cool before unmoulding them and the Maizena cookies are ready.
