On June 28, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will open in Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort, an attraction inspired by the film The Princess and the Frog.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will invite guests to join Princess Tiana, Mama Odie and their new friends on an exciting adventure, accompanied by the music and excitement of a New Orleans celebration. Additionally, this attraction will feature dozens of Audio-Animatronics figures, a spectacular soundtrack, and a celebration where everyone is welcome.
During Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, rides will keep your feet moving as adorable creatures sing and play instruments made from natural bayou materials.
They can also meet Tiana’s new friends, who are an otter, a rabbit, a raccoon, a beaver, a turtle and many more. Her energetic styles will turn the swamp into a party with zydeco music and other genres authentic to the New Orleans region. There will be new, original music along with favorite tunes from the film, created in collaboration with award-winning artists PJ Morton and Terence Blanchard.
The attraction will feature the original voices from the film, including Bruno Campos as Prince Naveen, Jenifer Lewis as Mama Odie, Michael Leon Wooley as Louis and the one and only Anika Noni Rose as Princess Tiana.
As you navigate through the cypress trees and Spanish moss of a beautiful Louisiana swamp, you may recognize some familiar faces among the Audio-Animatronics figures, including Princess Tiana, Louis, Mama Odie, Eudora, Charlotte, Prince Ralphie, Prince Naveen et al.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will take you on a journey to the real New Orleans (NOLA). The works of Louisiana artist Malaika Favorite will delight visitors in line and they will be able to see an original metal weather vane by third-generation master blacksmith Darryl Reeves and his apprentice Karina Roca. Artwork by New Orleans artist Sharika Mahdi has inspired the attraction from the beginning. And, as an added detail, in line for the attraction, guests can smell the sweet aroma of frying beignets, reminiscent of a walk through the French Quarter.
Without a doubt, if you are fans of The Princess and the Frog, this new attraction will be for you starting June 28, at Walt Disney World, and in a few months you will also be able to enjoy it at Disneyland, in California.
