4 eggs, room temperature
1/2 cup milk (120ml)
2 sticks butter, unsalted (225g)
1 3/4 cup plain flour (230g)
2 tsp baking powder
1 1/4 cup white / caster sugar (250g)
- Whipped cream
1/2 cup whipping cream (120 ml)
Vanilla extract (optional)
Directions
- Mix the butter and the sugar in a mixer;
- Add 4 eggs, room temperature;
- Add eggs and whip eggs until fluffy;
- Add vanilla extract;
- Mix;
- In a separate bowl, add sift the dry ingredients;
- Mix well;
- Add half of the dry ingredients & mix;
- Add the milk;
- Mix;
- Grease & flour 2 baking tins;
- Distribute the dough;
- Bake in the preheated oven 350F (180Cº);
- Allow the cakes to cool;
- Make the Whipped cream;
- Add to the cake;
- Fill with sliced strawberries;
- Your Victoria Sponge is ready!
