From March 28 to 31, the Anahuacalli Museum, located south of Mexico City, will offer a series of activities for travelers of all ages, including workshops, cultural experiences and much more.

For this holiday season, the Anahuacalli Museum designed a program of activities for its visitors that allows them to connect with the art of Diego Rivera and learn about the aesthetic and cultural heritage of Mexico.

Ghost Self Portrait

This is a workshop that will be held from March 28 to 31, at 12:00 p.m., which invites children and families to a museum tour that culminates in a creative session where each participant will create their self-portrait, sharing their experience and learning. .

The activity is included in the museum entrance ticket. It has a limited capacity of 20 people.

Print your memory on the foliage

From March 28 to 31, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., you can take part in sessions lasting between 30 minutes and one hour in which you can create a tangible souvenir of the museum using an ancient printing process.

This activity has a cost of 150 Mexican pesos and includes the material they will use.

This activity, which will take place from March 28 to 31 at 3:00 p.m., invites detailed observation of the nature of the scree through drawing, establishing an intimate connection between sight and touch.

From March 28 to 31, at 4:00 p.m., you can enjoy a 45-minute guided tour, in which you will discover the unique flora, fauna and geology of the scree that surrounds the museum.

Public Cartoon Clothesline

This activity is a continuation of “No Mirar para Mirar”, and will take place from March 28 to 31 from 12:00 to 16:00.

At this station, participants will add their creations to a collective clothesline, creating a community art installation.

Collections warehouse

During this season you will be able to discover Diego Rivera’s impressive collection of pre-Hispanic art that allows us to admire the aesthetics and testimony of our ancestors.

The collection cellar can be visited from Tuesday to Friday, from March 26 to 29 at schedules of 12:00, 1:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.

This activity costs 30 Mexican pesos.

The Anahuacalli Museum is a pet-friendly space, so you can bring your four-legged friends so they can also enjoy the open spaces of the museum. If they are pets or emotional support animals, they may enter the museum with the corresponding certificate.
