Ingredients

  • Split dry peas 1 packet (500g)

  • 100g chopped bacon

  • Chopped pepperoni sausage 100g

  • 1 piece chopped onion

  • Minced garlic 6 cloves

  • Salt to taste

  • Black pepper to taste

Directions

  • In a large bowl, add 1 packet (500g) split dried peas;
  • Add warm water to cover and pass 3 fingers of the peas;
  • Let it hydrate for 1 hour to 1 and a half hours;
  • Drain;
  • In a large pot on the fire, add 100g chopped bacon;
  • Add chopped pepperoni sausage 100g;
  • Leave until golden;
  • Remove them from the pan and place them on a plate with paper towels (keep 1 tablespoon of the fat in the pan);
  • Add chopped onion 1 unit and leave until transparent;
  • Add minced garlic 6 cloves and let it brown;
  • Add the peas;
  • Add 1 liter and a half of water;
  • Add salt and black pepper;
  • Leave for 25 minutes after it starts to boil (add more water if necessary);
  • Let cool a little and transfer to a blender;
  • Beat well;
  • Transfer back to the pan;
  • Turn on the fire;
  • Add the sausages and fried bacons;
