The Museo del Objeto del Objeto (MODO) in Mexico City presented the exhibition titled “The Vote in Mexico: who and how we vote 1910 – 2024”, which will be open to the public from March 23 to June 30, 2024 .

The exhibition offers a re-reading of MODO’s collection of political propaganda, highlighting the evolution of the electoral process in Mexico and the fundamental role that women have played in the search for democracy and equality.

With more than 15 thousand objects of political propaganda and historical documents, MODO selected nearly 1,500 pieces for this exhibition, including posters, caps, t-shirts, campaign buttons and a variety of paraphernalia used by candidates throughout history to capture the citizen vote.

The exhibition is organized into four thematic cores: “Mexicans vote”, “Women’s vote”, “Electoral history in Mexico” and “Who and how we vote in 2024”.

In the exhibition you can find some unique items such as boots with a candidate’s initials, packets of seeds, packets of cigarettes and even soaps! distributed during campaigns and promotional objects of various candidates throughout history.

In addition to the exhibition of objects, an audiovisual exhibition is presented that covers campaign events of presidential candidates from Porfirio Díaz to the present, providing a panoramic view of the political history of Mexico.

Precio: General admission: $60, INAPAM, students and teachers: $30, residents of Roma with INE: $30, children under 12 years of age: free entry.
