Traveling definitely changes people. In my case I have always traveled within the Mexican Republic, in 2019 I made my first trip to New York and it was incredible.
I was widowed that same year and well they say that there is no sad widow, hahahahaha and in 2022 I went with my older sister on a 6-week trip. It is worth mentioning that she had already gone to Europe on other occasions, for me it was the first time that she had made such a long trip.
First stop: Italy. I think it is one of the most beautiful countries I have ever known. If I had a lot of money I would live in Florence.
Second stop: Athenas. Of Greece, only Athenas I knew and loved, and I was invited to tour a little more of this beautiful country.
Third stop: Turkey: wow, I fell in love with this country, its culture, its people, its monuments, its food, etc. But something that impressed me was that decision they have towards their liberator: Atatürk. I would definitely return.
Fourth stop: Netherlands. We would get to visit my younger sister and brother-in-law who were living there. Wow, what incredible contrasts, a chaotic Amsterdam, a Vlissingen so, but so calm, Breda, Middelburg, Volendam, Edam, Zaanse Schans, so many picturesque little towns, that one really lacks days to enjoy those landscapes.
Quickly we went to Bruges, Belgium and Lillie, France.
The experience of traveling abroad, and getting to know different cultures. It was something great. Its museums, its life and development are unparalleled. And I think it becomes addictive.
God allowed me to return to Europe and New York in 2023, but that will be another story.
Overall, continuing to plan trips is something that I am passionate about. And I hope that in the not too distant future, I can do the famous Camino de Santiago in Spain.
