Feast of San Salmodio June 13

Today June 13 we celebrate San Salmodio who was a Christian martyr and hermit.

Saint Psalmody, of Irish or Scottish origin, was a disciple of Saint Brandan the Navigator, and moved to Saintes, France, where he performed many miracles.

Saint Salmodio later decided to live as a hermit in Limoges, France, dying in the 7th century.

There is no more information about the life and work of San Salmodio, although what is a fact is that his celebration takes place on the day June 13th.
