The restaurant Victoria & Albert’sfrom Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa hotel in Walt Disney World, received a Michelin Star, a recognition of the restaurant industry in the world.

With this award, Victoria & Albert’s becomes one of less than 200 restaurants in the United States to earn this distinction and the first time Disney has received this award.

Victoria & Albert’s excels at delighting travelers with a multi-course experience packed with incredible flavors using the highest quality ingredients. Additionally, it offers a top-notch wine collection that includes more than 500 different options.

Sommeliers are in charge of selecting and recommending alcoholic or non-alcoholic drinks to create a perfect combination for diners.

Chef de cuisine Matthew Sowers, who has worked at Victoria & Albert’s for almost 20 years, leads the culinary team and, thanks to his experience, helps create menus for the Remy restaurant on Disney Cruise Line’s Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy ships. . Joining him is pastry chef Ally Rogers, who leads the resort’s entire pastry team.

Furthermore, during the ceremony, the Puerto Rican and Sommelier Israel Pérez received the special award recognizing exceptional service, the 2024 Florida Service Award, in recognition of his dedication to creating unforgettable experiences at the exclusive restaurants at the Walt Disney World Resort.

Also, Victoria & Albert’s stands out for being the only restaurant in Florida to maintain the AAA Five Diamonds consecutively since 2000 and the Forbes Travel Guide Five Star awards since 2018, being one of 26 restaurants in the entire country with this only distinction. It has also been awarded the Wine Spectator Best of Award of Excellence and the Florida Trend Golden Spoon Hall of Fame – American Regional.
