We are Juanjo and Liz, a traveling couple from Torreón Coah, Mex
It took 8 years of postponing our trip, something unforeseen always came up, debts, commitments, a pandemic, something more important, we ended up postponing and postponing our dream.
On April 22, 2022, we left home with our motorcycle, and our backpacks full of questions, taking a step into the abyss of uncertainty. We left our jobs, sold our car and embarked on a journey for which we were not prepared, but we realized that the world was ready to be part of our journey, our dream.
And how do they travel so much, you might ask? Well, we are traveling with savings, making and selling paintings, postcards, stickers and crafts in public squares and with that we are supporting the trip, in addition to the fact that many people along the route have invited us to stay at their house, (without know us) and treat us like their family, giving us a roof over their heads and a place at their table.
We are currently living this dream which is to travel through Central and South America until we reach the southernmost city in the world, Ushuaia!
We are traveling on a motorcycle with a sidecar, so the intensity of the trip increases due to so many types of climates that we are passing through.
On this incredible trip we have learned a lot about the different cultures, customs, foods and even words that change in each country.
We have been to Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Argentina and Chile.
For us, experiencing this has been a radical change in our lives and we couldn’t be more grateful, since we had always wanted to do something like this and it has actually been magical!
On November 27 of this year we reached our goal and we feel very happy and grateful for having been able to learn so much and have arrived safely.
