From February 8 to 11, 2024, the fourth edition of BADA, the direct artist art fair, will be held in Campo Marte, which coincides with art week in Mexico City.

The special guest at this edition will be the artist Carla Rippey, recognized in the “Infrarealist” literary movement and in the “The Groups” movement. Her work focuses on expanding the limits of drawing and graphics through strategies of appropriation, selection and editing. During this event you will be able to talk with her, exchange ideas and even buy her work directly, without intermediaries.

Rippey will present the series “Immolation”, “Women, fire and dangerous objects” and “Elsewhere (otherness)”, where he explores human vulnerability, the use of color and otherness from found images.

Additionally, on February 8 at 1:00 p.m., the Mexican writer, historian, columnist and art critic, Avelina Lésper, will give a talk called “How to become an art collector,” which will be open to the public.

BADA seeks to break the traditional patterns of selling works of art by establishing a direct connection between the artist and the buyer, with the aim of bringing art closer to all people, even those who do not usually frequent galleries or art fairs. .

In this edition BADA will present more than 150 artists specialized in different disciplines, coming from various countries such as Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Spain, the United States, France and Mexico; to whom you can ask whatever you want about ideas, techniques, influences, etc.

As in all its editions, all BADA participants will have 10 small format works for sale with a price that will not exceed 2,500 Mexican pesos.

BADA can be visited from February 8 to 11, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., in Campo Marte, Mexico City.
