Ingredients
Chicken – 750 gms ( leg pieces )
Curd/Yogurt – 4 tbsp
Ginger – 1 inch piece
Garlic – 15 cloves ( medium size )
Green Chilli – 1
Juice of 1 Lime
Red Chilli powder ( Kashmiri ) ( less Spicy ) – 1 tbsp
Red Chilli powder ( Spicy ) – 1 tsp
Coriander powder – 1 tbsp
Cumin powder ( Jeera ) – 1 tsp
Turmeric powder ( Haldi ) – ¼ tsp
Garam Masala – 1 tsp
Chaat powder – 1 tsp
Salt -1 tsp
Orange Food colour – ¼ tsp
Cooking Oil – 5 tbsp
Directions
- In a bowl, add Chicken – 750 gms ( leg pieces );
- Add ginger, garlic and green chilli paste;
- Add spice powders;
- Mix;
- Add curd;
- Add lime juice;
- Mix;
- Marinate for 1 to 3 hours;
- Fry for 5 minutes on medium heat in a pan with five tablespoons of oil;
- Turn the chicken and fry another side;
- Apply remaining marinade on Chicken pieces;
- Now turn the heat to Low and continue cooking;
- Release any marinade which is stuck to the bottom;
- Apply remaining marinade on Chicken pieces;
- Turn the Chicken pieces to cook all sides;
- Now cover pan and cook on low heat for Three minutes;
- Your Tandoori Chicken is ready!
