Ingredients
- Gnocchi
1 cup of mashed potatoes
2 cups of flour
1 egg
salt, pepper, nutmeg
- Sauce
5 fresh crushed tomatoes (or 2 cans of crushed tomatoes)
2 minced garlic cloves
1 tbsp. of minced onion
salt, pepper, thyme
Directions
- Gnocchi
- In a bowl, add the boiled and Mashed Potatoes;
- Add the Flour;
- Add the Egg;
- Mix well;
- Add Nutmeg, Salt, and ground Black Pepper;
- Knead until sticky dough forms;
- Cut the dough into small squares;
- Boil the dough until it floats to the surface;
- Sauce
- In a pan, add the Oil;
- Add minced Onion;
- Add minced Garlic
- Add the crushed Tomatoes;
- Add Salt, Thyme, Black Pepper;
- Let it boil for 5 minutes;
- Add the boiled Gnocchi to the sauce;
- Mix until the sauce coats the Gnocchi;
- Add to a serving bowl;
- Add Mozzarella cheese and place in the microwave for 1 minute;
- Ready!
