The Government of Peru revoked the decree that established what Mexicans would need to travel to that country, announced the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Peru.
Through a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Peru indicated that this decision was made after the call of various voices from the tourism and related sectors, and the commitment to the principles of the Pacific Alliance, which proclaim the free mobility of people among its member states.
Furthermore, the Ministry highlighted its commitment to transparent and participatory management, where dialogue and active listening are fundamental pillars of the Foreign Ministry.
A few days ago, the government of Peru had announced the visa requirement for Mexican travelers who wanted to visit the country, after Mexico changed its entry requirements to the country for Peruvians, who will now need a visa to enter Mexican territory.
It should be noted that Peruvian travelers will still need a visa as of April 20.
