Ingredients
Butter (250g)
Golden Syrup (x1 tbsp)
Peanut Butter (x1 tbsp)
Crushed Nuts (60g)
Sugar (130g)
Bicarbonate of Soda (x1 tsp)
Plain Flour (170g)
Oats (170g)
Directions
- And firstly, either in a saucepan or in the microwave you need to melt together the Peanut Butter, Golden Syrup and Butter.
- You’ll need to do this over low heat to ensure nothing burns and make sure you stir occasionally whilst it’s melting.
- Meanwhile you need to get yourself a large mixing bowl and pour in all the dry ingredients. So that’s 60 grams of crushed Nuts, 130 grams of Sugar, 1 tsp of Barcarb of Soda, 170 grams of Flour and 170 grams of Oats.
- And then, once the Butter, Golden Syrup and Peanut Butter are all melted together, you need to pour it over the dry ingredients.
- Then with a wooden spoon you need to thoroughly mix all of the ingredients together until it’s all combined nicely.
- You then need to get yourself a suitably sized oven dish and pour the Flabjack mixture into it.
- Then use the back of a wooden spoon to even it out nicely.
- Then it’s ready for the oven. So in a preheated oven on 170 degrees stick it on the middle shelf for between 25-35 minutes.
- And that’s until the top begins to turn golden and crispy.
- Now you can cut your Flabjack into 16 pieces and then it’s ready to serve.
