Making this cornmeal cake with fennel is so easy it will surprise you!

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs

  • 240 ml of milk

  • 240 ml of oil

  • 2 tablespoons of butter or margarine

  • 2 cups of flour (wheat)

  • 2 cups (tea) of sugar

  • 1 cup (tea) cornmeal

  • 1 tablespoon of fennel

  • 1 tablespoon and 1/2 (soup) of baking powder

  • 1 pinch of salt

Directions

  • In a mixer put the oil, eggs, sugar and beat for 2 minutes. 
    Add the butter or margarine, milk, salt and beat for 1 minute. 
    Add the cornmeal, wheat flour, fennel and beat for 1 minute.
  • Add the yeast and beat a little more to mix. 
    Grease a baking sheet or mold with butter and cornmeal and pour the dough into it.
  • Bake the cake in a preheated oven at 180º₢ for approximately 40 minutes. 
    Then carefully remove and wait to cool.
  • Cut the cornmeal cake into pieces to the size of your choice and the recipe is ready to serve.
