On January 21, the Mexico Gastronomic Guide, The 250 restaurants 2024, was presented and the work of chefs and figures from the gastronomic world in our country was recognized.

At this event, the delivery of the Special Awards of the tenth edition of the Guide was presented, chosen by the Voter Councils 2024, made up of renowned gastronomic journalists, sommeliers and food lovers who are dedicated to traveling throughout Mexico throughout of the year.

The Chef of the Decade award went to Eduardo García, from Máximo, while the Restaurant of the Decade award went to Pangea, located in San Pedro Garza García, Nuevo León.

Chef Mónica Patiño (La Taberna del León and Casa Virginia) won the award for Tribute to the career of a restaurateur.

The Chef of the year was Lula Martín del Campo and the Restaurant of the year was awarded to Micaela Mar y Leña, in Mérida.

In addition, the Opening of the Year recognition was awarded to Avia; Revelation chef to Gustavo Macuit, from Molino Macuitll; Sommelier of the year to Arisbeth Araujo from Zeru Lomas; Best service of the year to Zeru Lomas; Food journalist of the year to Teresa Rodríguez from Buena Mesa, in Reforma; Gastronomic family of the year to Rodrigo, Patricio and Daniel Rivera-Río de Koli; Head of the year Ramón Terrones de AjoBlanco; Bartender of the year to Tito Pin Pérez from Rayo; Baker of the year to Chris González de Amaso; Pastry of the year to Maribel Aldaco from Fauna; Majority of the year to María Antonia Hernández Contreras from El Bajío; Waiter of the year to Rubén Rivas from El Danubio, and Supplier of the year to Alfredo Juárez from Ecobrotes.

The Guide is made up of 250 restaurants throughout the Mexican Republic. In this edition, 60% of the list is made up of places located in the interior of the country, with the intention of decentralizing Mexico City.

The Mexico Gastronomic Guide will be on sale at Gandhi, El Péndulo, El Sótano, Sanborn’s, Liverpool, El Palacio de Hierro, Amazon and on Ellibrero.com starting February 10, in its digital and physical versions, with a cost of 275 pesos.

In addition, for the first time, it will be available in English, printed and digital.
