Ingredients

  • 1 cup mayonnaise

  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard

  • 2 tablespoons chopped pickles or cornichons

  • 2 tablespoons capers, drained and chopped

  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh tarragon

  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives

  • 1 garlic clove, minced

  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika

  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Directions

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, pickles, capers, parsley, tarragon, chives, garlic, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, black pepper, and lemon juice.
  • Taste and adjust the seasoning as needed.
  • Cover and chill for at least 30 minutes before serving.
  • Serve with fried fish, crab cakes, shrimp, or other seafood dishes.
