Ingredients

  • Dough
  • 4 eggs

  • 1 mashed banana

  • 1 cup (tea) milk

  • 1 cup (tea) of oil

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder

  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder

  • 1 and 1/2 cup (tea) of sugar

  • 3 cups of wheat flour (sifted)

  • Vanilla essence (optional)

  • Flour
  • 5 bananas, chopped or as many as you need to line the bottom of the pan

  • 1 and 1/2 cup (tea) of granulated sugar

  • 1/2 cup (tea) warm water

Directions

  • To make the syrup, place the sugar in a pan, place over low heat and stir constantly until it melts. 
    When the syrup turns caramel color, add the warm water little by little, mix and let the sugar melt again.
  • Grease a mold with butter and cover the bottom with the chopped bananas. 
    Pour the caramel over the banana slices and set aside.
  • Prepare the dough by placing the eggs, oil, milk, sugar, cinnamon powder in a blender and beat for 2 minutes.
  • Add the sifted flour into a bowl, add the baking powder and mix well. 
    Add the blender mixture and mix more. 
    Place the mashed banana, stir until homogenized and pour the dough into the mold with the syrup.
  • Preheat the oven to 170º₢ and bake the cake for about a minute. 
    Then reduce the oven to 150º₢ and bake for another 50 minutes, totaling 60 minutes in the oven.
  • Wait for the cake to cool and turn it out onto a serving platter or large plate. 
    Cut as you like and the caramelized banana cake is ready.
