In gastronomy, a quiche (IPA: [ki: ʃ]) is a type of salty cake derived from the French quiche lorraine. It is made mainly with a preparation of beaten eggs and fresh and thick milk cream (called migaine), mixed with cut vegetables, and / or meat products (bacon, ham in tacos), with which a mold that is previously lined with dough is filled. It is cooked in the oven until the dough is cooked. The possibility of including other foods in the preparation of the filling allows for countless recipes with meat, vegetables (such as celery, peppers, onions, leeks, etc.) and various cheeses.
