Hard to resist a tasty quindim recipe like this one!

Ingredients

  • 10 gems

  • 150 ml of coconut milk

  • 1 cup powdered sugar (sugar)

  • 5 tablespoons of grated coconut

Directions

  • Pass the yolks through a sieve into a container, pressing lightly with a spoon. 
    Add the granulated sugar and mix. 
    Add the coconut milk, the grated thick coconut and stir for 5 minutes. 
    Pour the mixture into a greased shape with butter or margarine and sugar.
  • Place the shape inside a rectangular roast with half hot water and bake in a bain-marie for 1 hour and 40 minutes in a preheated oven at 180º₢ (it is not necessary to cover the dessert with aluminum foil to bake).
  • Carefully remove the candy from the oven and let it cool to room temperature. 
    Cover and leave in the fridge for at least 2 hours. 
    Unmold the quindim on a plate or platter and the dessert is ready.
