6 large apples
2-3 tablespoons lemon juice
1¾ cups (160g) rolled oats
1 2/3 cups (210g) all-purpose flour
150g butter, cold
3/4 cup (150g) sugar + 1 Tbsp for topping
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Directions
- Preheat your oven to 180C (360F);
- Line an 9-inch (22-23cm) springform pan with parchment paper and grease with butter;
- In a large bowl, add flour;
- Add oats;
- Add sugar;
- Mix well;
- Peel 6 large apples;
- Grate;
- Add 2-3 tablespoons lemon juice;
- Mix well and set a side;
- Grate 150g butter cold;
- Sprinkle 3-4 tablespoons of the oat mixture;
- Spread evenly and lightly press;
- Add 1/3 of shredded apples with the juice;
- Add 1/3 of the oat mixture;
- Repeat the process until the grated apple and oat mixture are finished;
- Add 1/2 cup of grated cold butter;
- Add 1-2 tablespoons of sugar;
- Bake at 180°C (360F) for 40 minutes, until golden brown on top;
