During our stay in Tenerife we stayed at the Iberostar Selection Sabila, in Costa Adeje. In Tenerife we were going to end our 21-day trip through the Canary Islands and we wanted to end it relaxed. So we could not choose better. It is probably the best hotel we have ever been to. 100% recommendable
How many nights is recommended to stay in Tenerife?
Tenerife is the largest island of the Canaries. Us we stayed 6 nights and it gave us time to relax and also to get to know the most important thing about Tenerife. In any case, it will depend on the trip you are looking for. If you want a good hotel and beach, it is clear that a week is not going to be short.
But if the beach is not your priority, then we advise you to divide your stay into two areas: north and south. The ideal would be to pass two nights in Santa Cruz or La Laguna to enjoy the north: Anaga, Las Teresitas and others. and then pass three nights in the south to get to know Teide, the Giants and other attractions. So our recommendation is to stay in Tenerife for 5 nights (at least).

Costa Adeje is the area with the highest concentration of accommodation on the island. And honestly, it’s one of the most practical areas to stay in Tenerife. It is only 10 minutes by car from Tenerife South Airport and very well connected to some of the best attractions in Tenerife.
A priori we would recommend sleeping in Costa Adeje to those tourists who seek to disconnect in a good hotel, enjoy the beach and get to know some essentials from Tenerife like Los Gigantes or the Teide.

When the South Airport did not exist before, all tourists went to Puerto de la Cruz. That’s why there are so many hotels! And it is that Puerto de la Cruz was the first resort area on the island.
Us We recommend Puerto de la Cruz for those tourists who are looking for cheap accommodation and have a few days to explore the island. Its location is great to do it. It is located quite in the center of the island. You will have Anaga less than 40 minutes by car, you will be very close to the Drago Milenario and 1 hour from the Teide cable car.

Do you fancy the beach? No problem! Less than 10 minutes by car from the city you will find Playa de las Teresitas, the best beach in Tenerife. Although the south is more famous, none is more beautiful than Las Teresitas.
The main advantage that Santa Cruz has is its infrastructure. The best roads start from there, which will allow you to reach the main attractions of Tenerife in a short time. It is in the south of the island, quite far from the main tourist centers. And that is a great advantage. During the day many tourists come to visit the famous cliffs, but at night the magic comes.
The location is not bad. In fact, you will reach the Teide cable car in less than an hour. And the road from there is beautiful! You will also be next to the beautiful towns of Santiago del Teide, Masca and the exciting west of the island with the Drago Milenario and Puerto de la Cruz.
