This weekend, during the D23 Disney Experience Showcase, Villains Land was announced, a new land that will be home to Disney Villains at Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World.
This new land will be inspired by all the villains from Disney movies, and thanks to their evil ambition, the possibilities for storytelling in this place are endless, so travelers should be prepared for anything they might encounter on their way within this area.
According to Josh D’Amaro, president of Disney Experiences, Villains Land will encompass every dream and nightmare.
This space will have two main attractions, the details of which are not yet known, so we will have to wait for the revelation of more details in the future; there will also be restaurants and shops to buy souvenirs.
The surprises continue!
That’s right, Villains Land isn’t the only surprise that Walt Disney World is preparing, as the big news is that Magic Kingdom will have a new extension, which will include Villains Land and an area dedicated to the world of Cars.
The new Cars-inspired space will be located in Frontierland and will feature two new attractions.
The first attraction will invite travelers to enjoy a race through wild mountain terrain, where they will dodge geysers and pass through mud holes.
Not much is known about the second attraction yet, except that it will be dedicated to the youngest travelers and the whole family, and will also offer a very fun experience.
Work on the creation of this new space will begin in early 2025.
And in Walt Disney World?
Villains Land and the new Cars attractions will be at Magic Kingdom, but what about the other parks?
Disney World’s other parks will also offer new experiences to travelers, which will include:
Monsters, Inc. Land.
It will be located in Hollywood Studios and will feature the first suspended roller coaster in a Disney park.
Reimagined Test Track
This attraction will open at EPCOT in 2025 and will celebrate the past, present and future of automation.
Tropical Americas
Animal Kingdom will feature two new attractions, one inspired by the film Encanto and another by Indiana Jones.
Zootopia: Better Zoogether
Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde will perform a new show at the Tree of Life Theater next winter.
New Nighttime Parade
In 2025, Main Street, U.S.A. at Magic Kingdom will have a new nighttime spectacular.
New missions in Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run
The Millennium Falcon invites travelers to experience a new adventure alongside Mando and Grogu in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
Two new lounge spaces
In 2025, the Pirates Lounge and Spaceship Earth will open in Magic Kingdom and EPCOT, respectively.
There are certainly great things coming to Disney parks which are a good excuse to travel to the parks.
