The day is approaching, you are in primary school and tomorrow there is a scheduled visit to the Chapultepec Fair. You cannot sleep. During the trip, you enjoy the games, the company of your friends and a change in the daily routine.

Years have passed and you are no longer a child. The Fair is no longer there, but life allows us to continue enjoying ourselves until our last breath and changes are also good. Now, you have money to buy whatever you want, maybe not the same strength to run through the park, but you do have the decision to leave the new city at any time. Aztlan Urban Park.

The space where Aztlán is located is known by many as the former home of the Chapultepec Fair, an iconic place that, after its closure, left a void in the hearts of many capital residents. Aztlán takes up this legacy, but with a renewed vision focused on sustainability and community well-being.

Covering an area of several thousand square metres, this park offers a variety of attractions and themed areas that allow visitors to enjoy nature, culture and entertainment in one place.

From state-of-the-art amusement rides to specially designed areas for picnics and outdoor recreation, Aztlán aims to be a space where everyone can find something they enjoy, but what will they find during their visit?

Mechanical Games

For those who missed the adrenaline of the old Chapultepec Fair, Aztlán offers a series of mechanical games that mix the best of tradition with modernity. These games are designed for all ages, guaranteeing fun for both children and adults.

Although there are still some under construction (which promise an extra dose of adrenaline), the ones that are there will give you a good time. You can’t miss Jurassic Mountain, the Remilinete, the Patada Voladora (flying swings), the free fall at Don Goyo, a virtual horror house, bumper cars, the classic Carousel and crazy cups, among others.

As a separate highlight, the impressive AZTLÁN 360 Ferris Wheel is worth mentioning. This attraction offers a panoramic view of the park and, given its height, a great view of Mexico City. It is perfect for those looking for a more relaxed experience while enjoying the view from above, and it also has Bluetooth so you can play your music!

Cultural and educational spaces

Aztlán is not only a place of entertainment, but also a space dedicated to culture and education. Throughout the park there are different spaces that promote learning about history, biodiversity and the environment. These spaces include interactive exhibits, workshops and educational activities designed for all ages.

Temporary events and activities

The park also has a schedule of temporary events ranging from concerts and plays, Lucha Libre fights, to food festivals and art exhibitions. This makes Aztlán a dynamic space that is always full of life.

Green and picnic areas

The park has large green areas where families and groups of friends can enjoy a day outdoors. These spaces are equipped with picnic areas and rest areas, ideal for relaxing after touring the park.

NOTE: you cannot bring food into the park, but there are plenty of options inside.

What’s up with the food?

Mexican culture, and that of the capital, is one of the main themes and food could not be left behind, from stalls that emulate the street stalls found in Chapultepec, to chain or theme restaurants, you will have plenty to choose from!

Also, if you are vegetarian don’t worry. We had the opportunity to visit the Taco Titans and they had options for everyone, we recommend adding cheese to your dishes, it’s delicious!

Visiting information

Aztlán is located in the second section of Chapultepec Park, making it easy to access by both public transportation and car. For those who prefer public transportation, the Constituyentes Metro Station on Line 7 is the closest. Additionally, the park has parking for those who choose to go by car, 5 and 6 are the most convenient and can be paid for throughout the day.

It is advisable to plan your visit in advance, as Aztlán offers a wide variety of activities and areas to explore.
