This is what the Wizarding World of Harry Potter will look like at Universal Epic Universe

Next year, Universal Epic Universe at Universal Orlando Resort will open with five new worlds to explore and experience. Among them is The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, a place that will take guests into the stories of Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts.

From the rise of Grindelwald to the fall of Voldemort, fans will take part in a single journey that spans decades of wizarding world history. They will travel through Paris in the 1920s before travelling to the British Ministry of Magic in the late 1990s.

A Parisian entrance

The adventure in the Magical World will begin in the streets of Paris, passing through the Arch of the Phoenix and finding the Place Cachée. In addition, you will find shops, cafés and even banners inviting you to visit Le Cirque Arcanus.

The Arcanus Circus

This show is the first of its kind. It was originally the premier showcase for magical creatures from around the world, but has since fallen into decline and Ringmaster Skender seeks to reinstate the glory days, having finally completed his quest to obtain Magizoologist Newt Scamander’s famous suitcase filled with magical beings.

Interactions with characters

As you walk through the streets, you will be able to meet famous witches and wizards, interact with them, and see interactive spaces.

They will also be able to talk to talking portraits and hone their spell-casting skills as they explore the streets of Paris.

One of the most refined dining options, Café L’air De La Sirène, will serve French-inspired cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The interior will be a feat of architecture, adorned with carved marble and art nouveau mosaics with stunning period interpretations of witches and wizards. Even the ceiling detail features a design reflective of the flora and fauna of the wizarding world.

At Cosme Acajor Baguettes Magiques, you will find delicately crafted wands designed by Acajor herself. Specializing in different wand cores than her British wandmaster counterparts, she considers her wands to be works of art and only sells products of the highest standard.

Entering the UK Ministry of Magic

After touring Paris, you can travel to London in the 1990s, via a Parisian metro station.

Once inside the station, they will need to follow the signs down the white tiled corridors. They will enter a large Métro-Floo chimney before being engulfed in magical green flames. They will emerge at their destination and find that they are no longer in Paris. A large, familiar and impressive atrium will greet them.

Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry

Following the Battle of Hogwarts, order has been restored at the Ministry of Magic and Lord Voldemort’s followers are held accountable for his crimes. One of those accused is Umbridge herself, and her trial is coming up soon. As you ride up a lift to the courtroom, you’ll see that Harry, Ron and Hermione are present, along with a new character, Higgledy, Umbridge’s former house-elf.

Along the way, they witness Umbridge break free from Ministry control with the help of Death Eaters Yaxley, Carrow and Macnair. Their stated mission: to repair a broken Time-Turner in the Department of Mysteries and restore Voldemort’s reign. So they are recruited by Harry, Ron, Hermione and Higgledy to capture her and prevent her from escaping.
