Mexico is a country that has incredible beaches for surfing and one of its destinations to do so is Los Cabos, which has stood out among surfers thanks to its consistent breaks and sunny weather all year round.

In Los Cabos you will find a unique combination of perfect waves, good weather and incredible landscapes. In addition, the quality of the waves on its beaches are ideal for both experienced and beginner surfers.

Acapulquito

Located in San José del Cabo, this beach is perfect for those travelers who want to learn to surf or are beginners.

Along the beach you will find several surf schools where you can take lessons and learn the main surfing techniques.

Cerritos

This beach is located in Todos Santos and there are waves for surfers of all levels, as there are waves from calm to higher and faster ones; therefore it is recommended to take precautions and be very attentive.

French Riviera

Costa Azul is perhaps one of the most popular as it is here where international competitions such as the Los Cabos Open Surf are held, so you will find waves of considerable size ideal for surfers of all levels.

Here you will also find surf schools to take lessons and/or rent a board.

Monument Beach

Playa Monumento or Monuments is one of the most popular beaches for surfing in Mexico as it offers consistent and tubular waves, perfect for experienced surfers looking for new challenges.

The waves can reach two meters high and it is only 10 minutes from Cabo San Lucas, and offers an incredible view of the famous Los Cabos Arch.

Although you can surf here all year round, you will find the best waves from November to April, due to the wind and current that prevails during this season.

The Rock

Also known as The Rock, it is located in San José del Cabo.

Here the waves break to the right and it is ideal for advanced surfers.

Also nearby are Old Man’s and Zippers, the latter having hosted international competitions and known for its surfing atmosphere.
