A few days ago it premiered in the West End, in London, Stranger Things: The First Shadow, a prequel to the Netflix series dating back to 1959.

Stranger Things: The First Shadow is set in 1959 in Hawkins, a small town with a number of problems.

The story explores Henry Creel’s adolescence and his transformation into Vecna. In the years that Creel was at Hawkins he met Jim Hopper, Joyce Maldonado and Bob Newby.

In the play you can see Joyce Maldonado who wants to be a theater director and is organizing a school show; Jim Hopper is obsessed with cars and doesn’t get along with his dad, who is a police chief, and Bob Newby is an enthusiastic amateur radio host with a radio show.

Meanwhile, a new boy has arrived at school, the troubled Henry Creel, who has moved to Hawkins with his family in hopes of starting over after being involved in some sort of unfortunate incident in his previous town.

Furthermore, this work is key to the fifth and final season of the series.

Stranger Things: The First Shadow can be seen at the Phoenix theater in London until August 25, 2024.
