Widely used in various cakes in the best bakeries and confectioneries, the sponge cake dough has turned out delicious and simple to prepare!

Ingredients

  • 6 eggs

  • 200 ml of hot water

  • 2 and 1/2 cups of wheat flour

  • 2 cups (tea) of sugar

  • 1 tablespoon of baking powder

  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence

Directions

  • First, beat only the egg whites in the mixer until they become snow. 
    Then add the egg yolks, vanilla essence and sugar and beat well. 
    Then alternately add hot water, wheat flour and beat more.
  • Add the baking powder to the dough and mix until homogenized. 
    Grease with butter or margarine and wheat flour two molds of 20 rim, or only one with 35 rim with false bottom and pour the dough.
  • Bake the dough for approximately 30 minutes in a preheated oven at 180º₢. 
    Allow to cool to room temperature and the sponge cake is ready.
