The noodle is a type of elongated dough (pasta), small in width and flattened in shape that make up the set of paste asciutte (dry pasta) of Italian origin. Those that are known throughout Europe and in much of the Western world come directly from Italy and should not be confused with similar but different preparations, such as those from China, where noodles similar to Italian noodles and spaghetti are prepared, but which have a completely different history and processing technique than those present in Italy.

I’m going to be showing you how to make my Seafood Tagliatelle with Prawns and Salmon. It’s packed full of flavour and omega-3 oils and it’s reallysimple to make.

  • 2 Salmon Fillets

  • 60g drained Anchovies

  • 60g Black Olives

  • 2 tbsp Capers

  • 125g pre-cooked Prawns

  • 2 Garlic Cloves

  • 1 tin Chopped Tomatoes

  • 250g fresh Tagliatelle

  • Oil (to fry)

  • Take the garlic cloves, peel them then finely chop them. Then set the Garlic aside.
  • Get your jar of Anchovies and drain the oil from them and put your Anchovies into a bowl.
  • Then briefly mash them with a folk until they’re a bit smoother.
  • Next, get yourself a saucepan that’ll be bit enough to hold all of the ingredients apart from the Tagliatelle.
  • Drizzle in a bit of Oil then sprinkle in your Garlic and fry for about 5 minutes until they just about turn brown.
  • Then, pour in your mashed Anchovies and fry for another 5 minutes until everything mixes together and becomes combined.Anchovies and garlic
  • Add your Olives, your Capers and your tin of Chopped Tomatoes. Once everything’s in there, give everything a thorough stir and make sure everything in the pan is combined.
  • Leave it to simmer for about 15 to 20 minutes, or until the sauce thickens up nicely.sauce
  • And whilst it’s simmering away, you can prepare the Salmon by slicing each of the fillets into chunks.
  • So once your sauce has thickened up nicely, you then need to pour in your pre-cooked Prawns and the Salmon you sliced up earlier into the sauce.
  • Again, give everything in the pan a thorough stir to make sure all of the ingredients are combined and leave it to simmer away for a further 5-10 minutes to make sure the Salmon cooks through.salmon
  • And in the meantime, you can prepare the Tagliatelle according to the instructions on the pack – which usually takes about 5 minutes in a pan of boiling water.
  • And then, everything’s ready to dish up, best served in a bowl and then sprinkled with some fresh Basil.
  • Your Seafood Tagliatelle is ready!Seafood Tagliatelle
