The specialized travel magazine Condé Nast Traveler named San Miguel de Allende the best small city in the world in its Readers Choice Awards.
According to the publication, this metropolis located in Guanajuato, in the Mexican Bajío, is an ideal destination for travelers and has topped this list for three consecutive years.
Located four hours from Mexico City, “this highland city is known for its Spanish colonial architecture and colorful facades.”
