Ingredients
1 and 1/2 cup (tea) of sugar
2 cups (tea) of cachaça
2 tablespoons of peeled ginger
2 cinnamon sticks
2 glasses of water
3 orange slices (no seeds)
4 lemon wedges (no seeds)
8 carnations from India
Directions
- Add the sugar to a pan, place over low heat and stir constantly until it melts and forms a caramel.
Carefully add the water and continue stirring until completely melted. - Add the cloves, cinnamon and ginger to the pan.
Then add the lemon and orange slices, the cachaça and mix.
Cook until it boils, turn off the heat and the quenta is ready to be consumed.
