Ingredients
800ml hot water (approximately)
600 grams of pumpkin of your choice
500 ml of hot water
100 grams of bacon
1 slice of calabresa sausage
1 tablespoon cream of onion
1 chopped onion
1 strand of oil
4 garlic cloves
Green smell to taste
Pepper to taste
Salt to taste
Directions
- Add a drizzle of oil to a pan, the chopped bacon and fry quickly, stirring well.
Add the chopped sausage and fry both until golden without stopping stirring.
Remove and discard the excess fat released by the meats. - Add the chopped onion, crushed garlic cloves and fry until golden, stirring constantly so that it does not burn.
Add the chopped pumpkin and mix very well while heating the 500 ml of water in another pan.
Add hot water and mix. - Add salt to taste, pepper to taste and mix well.
Cover and let cook until the pumpkin is very soft and part of the liquid dries up, stirring occasionally while cooking. - Add the cream of onion dissolved in a little water, put about 200ml to 300ml of water and keep mixing well.
Let cook at boiling point for another 15 to 20 minutes and turn off the heat.
Finish by putting chopped green smell to taste and serve the warm pumpkin broth with bread, toast or whatever you prefer.
