Here’s a basic recipe for oven-roasted potatoes:

  • Potatoes (usually russet or Yukon Gold), washed and cut into bite-sized pieces

  • Olive oil

  • Salt and pepper

  • Optional seasonings: garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, rosemary, thyme, or any herbs and spices of your choice

  • Preheat the oven to around 400°F (200°C).
  • In a large bowl, toss the potato pieces with olive oil until they are evenly coated.
  • Season the potatoes with salt, pepper, and any additional herbs and spices you prefer. Mix well to ensure even distribution of the seasonings.
  • Spread the seasoned potato pieces in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  • Roast in the preheated oven for about 30-40 minutes, or until the potatoes are golden brown and crispy on the edges. You may want to flip the potatoes halfway through the cooking time to ensure even browning.
  • Once done, remove from the oven and serve hot.
