Starting October 11, Japan will relax border controls, reauthorize visa exemptions and allow individual travel, Prime Minister Fumio Kishida announced.

This measure puts an end to the entry limit for daily travelers, as well as the requirement to hire a mediating agency to visit the country.

Japan began to relax its entry measures since last June, limiting the number of arrivals of foreign travelers, reaching 50,000 daily in September.

According to Fumio Kishida, this decision was made with the aim of reviving the country’s economy.

The requirements for Covid 19 that travelers must still meet to enter Japan have not yet been announced, so it is expected that the authorities of the Japanese country will announce them in the coming days.
