The Geranium restaurant, in Copenhagen, Denmark, by chef Rasmus Kofeded and sommelier Søren Ledet, was named the best restaurant in the world and on the European continent by “The World’s 50 Best” 2022.

According to its website, Geranium’s cuisine is lucid, light and dynamic with dishes that engage all the senses.

For their part, the organizers of “The World’s 50 Best” highlight the hospitality of the restaurant who “receives each guest at Geranium as if they were family and makes them feel at home during the meal”.

What dishes will you find on your menu?

Five years after giving up meat, in 2022 Chef Kofoed made Geranium a meat-free zone, focusing solely on local seafood and vegetables from organic and biodynamic farms in Denmark and Scandinavia.

The price of their ‘Spring Universe’ tasting menu is 3,200 Danish Kroner (about 6,480 Mexican pesos and includes lightly smoked lumpfish roe with milk, kale and apple, and forest mushrooms with beer, smoked egg yolk, hops in pickle and rye bread.

Each dish is an intricate work of art served on crockery inspired by nature and can also be paired with different options at various prices, as well as having an extensive wine and digestif list.
