On June 7, the firefly season will begin in the state of Tlaxcala, exactly in Nanacamilpa, the town that hosts the firefly sanctuary.
This year, the firefly season will be from June 7 to August 18 and the entrance price to the sanctuary will be 360 Mexican pesos, which includes a night tour with a certified guide.
It is important that if you visit the sanctuary, you follow the recommendations very well and respect nature; The tour is carried out in silence and it is prohibited to touch or take the fireflies.
Firefly season runs from mid-June to mid-August, which is when millions of fireflies gather to perform their mating ritual where, through the light emitted by their bodies, they find a partner and reproduce.
