Holy Martyrs of Sinope were 200 soldiers, as well as Saint Rufinus Deacon Y Aquilinawho were martyred in the city of Sinope, Turkey, during the persecutions against Christians ordered by Emperor Maximian.
It is known that San Rufino Deacon was imprisoned for confessing his Christian faith, and that Aquilina, upon finding out, wanted to follow him in his Christian faith, for which she was also arrested.
In prison they managed to convert to Christianity 200 soldierswho were also executed.
Currently only 200 soldiers are celebrated, and it is unknown why Rufino and Aquilina were excluded.
Holy Martyrs of Sinope died on April 7, 310.
