Next year Disney 100 Years of Wonder (Disney 100) will be celebrated, the largest celebration in the history of The Walt Disney Company, where Disneyland will be the heart of this great event.
Disney 100 Years of Wonder will officially kick off on January 27, 2023, with limited-time specials taking place throughout the resort throughout the year.
Disneyland Resort cast members will be the first to experience the new offerings with #DisneyCastLife opportunities at the start of the celebration.
When the Disney 100 kicks off on January 27, travelers will be able to enjoy many magical surprises, including:
Platinum decor throughout the complex. Sleeping Beauty’s castle will be dressed in elegant platinum banners and pennants. Additionally, two majestic water fountains will adorn both sides of the castle moat, while a beautiful wishing star will shine from the tower above.
Disneyland Resort will offer two all-new nightly shows, “World of Color – One,” and “Wondrous Journeys.”
“World of Color – One” will be presented at Disney California Adventure and will celebrate the storytelling legacy pioneered by Walt Disney. It will tell a new story of how a single action, like a drop of water, creates a ripple that can become a wave of change. The show brings to life some of the most courageous, loving and inspiring characters. It will also feature a new original song, “Start a Wave.”
“Wondrous Journeys” will be presented at Disneyland and will feature nods to all of the Walt Disney Animation Studios films, taking guests on a journey filled with art, music, storytelling and heart. “Wondrous Journeys” will be presented on select nights and will be even bigger with the addition of brilliant fireworks, and will feature an incredible new song, “It’s Wondrous”.
In the spring of 2023, Mickey’s Toontown will reopen with new attractions, however, Mickey & Minni’s Runaway Railway, one of the main novelties, will open earlier to the public to kick off with the Disney 100 celebration on January 27.
Also, this spring, “Magic Happens” will return to celebrate the magical moments that are at the heart of so many Disney stories. This parade reminds us that we don’t need wings to fly, shooting stars were made for wishing and the magic doesn’t stop at midnight.
