Disney World is preparing incredible surprises for one of the favorite seasons of many travelers, the holiday season, where guests will celebrate festive experiences, try new flavors and be part of the return of many favorite events.
So this time we share some of the details that you will find this season.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party
For 24 select nights from November 8 to December 22, the Magic Kingdom will get into the holiday spirit with activities such as:
“Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration”, a show where Mickey and his friends will appear on the Cinderella Castle stage, in addition to singers, dancers and surprises choreographed to the rhythm of Christmas music medleys.
At “Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks,” Minnie will put on an incredible nighttime show featuring dazzling fireworks, castle projections and seasonal songs.
There will also be the “Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade”, where Santa Claus will join Mickey Mouse and his friends.
Plus, Fudis around the world will enjoy cookies and hot chocolate at locations throughout the Magic Kingdom.
Some attractions like Space Mountain, Tomorrowland Speedway, Monster Inc. Laugh Floor and Mad Tea Party will have a Christmas touch, while Jungle Cruise will be transformed into Jingle Cruise.
Buzz Lightyear, Mike Wazowski and Stitch will invite guests to line up for an out-of-this-world show, “A Totally Tomorrowland Christmas,” on the Rockettower Plaza Stage.”
Travelers will have three new photo opportunities with Disney PhotoPass and will receive a special commemorative souvenir of the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World.
New treats including the Texas-sized Sweet Potato Pie with marshmallow meringue and candied pecans at Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Café will accompany returning favorites like Mickey-shaped Cinnamon Glazed Roll and Holiday Sprinkles at Main Street Bakery.
To celebrate Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, you must purchase a separate ticket, which are limited and can be purchased on the Walt Disney World page with prices ranging from $140 to $199 per person.

EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays
From November 25 to December 30, EPCOT will be filled with the incredible sights, sounds and flavors of the holiday season.
“Candlelight Processional” will return to EPCOT, where each night at the America Gardens Theater will feature celebrity storytellers retelling the Christmas story accompanied by Voices of Liberty, a 50-piece live orchestra with herald trumpets and glorious choirs made up of members from the Disney cast and Central Florida community groups.
Among the narrators are Gloria Estefan, Josh Gad, Mariska Hargitay, Raúl Esparza, Neil Patrick Harris, Whoopi Goldberg, Marie Osmond, Angela Basset and Edward James Olmos.
In addition, you can enjoy other surprises such as:
“JOYFUL! A Celebration of the Season”the moving and uplifting performance of music in celebration of Christmas and Kwanzaa, returns with multiple performances daily.
Storytellers, musical acts and other performers will bring the holiday traditions of the world around World Showcase.
Holiday Kitchens You’ll cook up treasured recipes and festive drinks from around the world, as well as a surprising selection of treats to satisfy any craving.
Delicious new offerings will include an Impossible™ Chorizo Tamale, a plant-based Cotija cheese and a red chili hot sauce that can be found at Nochebuena Cocina Holiday Kitchen.
Returning visitor favorites include the Maple Bûche de Noël which will be available at the Holiday Hearth Holiday Kitchen. This sweet treat is made from maple mousse and blueberries rolled in gingerbread cake.
The Holiday Cookie Stroll offers visitors the chance to embark on a sweet scavenger hunt to visit different locations and purchase a variety of cookies. Those who complete the treasure hunt will be rewarded with a special cookie for their collection.
Lots of Christmas decorations
Wherever travelers look, they will be immersed in the festive decoration of “The most magical place in the world”. Disney Springs’ theme parks, resort hotels, dining, entertainment and shopping district are transformed with a bright, cheery twist.
The highlights of the decoration include:
- Cheerful and themed decorations on Main Street, USA at Magic Kingdom park.
- Holiday glamor on Hollywood and Sunset Boulevard at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and festive touches at Toy Story Land.
- Animal-inspired décor, lighting fixtures on Discovery Island and holiday cheer that expats from Earth have brought to Pandora – The World of Avatar at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
- Dazzling international decor around the World Showcase at EPCOT.
- Nightly flurries of snow and Disney-themed Christmas trees at Disney Springs.
- Iconic gingerbread displays and decorations at Disney resort hotels.
- And Christmas trees everywhere: more than 1,300 at last count, some reaching almost 20 meters in height.
- Santa will be greeting visitors inside the Odyssey Pavilion as he prepares for the big day.
- World Showcase will feature soulful performances including Canadian Holiday Voyageurs, Las Posadas with Mariachi Cobre, Chinese Lion Dance and holiday storytellers.
Disney´s Animal Kingdom
A playful collection of life-size, hand-sculpted winter animal puppets bring Discovery Island to life as they interact with guests alongside serenading musicians.
After dark, the Tree of Life will awaken as a series of winter tales emerge from within, accompanied by holiday-inspired music.
Disney´s Hollywood Studios
Sunset Seasons Greetings will bring holiday magic each night as the iconic Hollywood Tower Hotel lights up with different scenes, including a toy hotel from “Toy Story”, a snowy corner of Arendelle and more.
The Santa Claus Merry Motorcade will feature the jolly St. Nicholas cruising down Hollywood Blvd. in his candy apple red convertible filled with presents.
Olaf will star in a festive finale at “For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration” that delights guests with holiday songs.
On nights that Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is not taking place, Cinderella’s Castle will transform into a magical Christmas look with special projection effects, festive colors and a variety of designs including a fantastical Christmas sweater, castle jeweled and more.
Guests can discover good news at Disney Springs through special food and beverage options, decorations and entertainment to celebrate the holiday season.
A collection of trees with Disney decorations will be on display as part of the Disney Springs Christmas Tree Stroll presented by AdventHealth. Located throughout Disney Springs, these festively decorated trees add to the holiday atmosphere. Additionally, visitors will be able to be part of a treasure hunt to find all the trees. Once completed, they will be able to take it to a redemption location for a special surprise.
Visitors will be able to walk in a winter wonderland, strolling through Town Center and the West Side as angelic flurries of snow add a touch of magic to holiday shopping.
Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar transforms into a Holiday Bar with cheerful decorations to ring in the happy season. For a limited time, guests can enjoy themed sips and appetizers to get into the spirit of the season.
Visitors will find Santa at Once Upon a Toy, where they can take photos and share holiday wishes with him.
Enjoy new and returning holiday foods at Disney Springs, like the Olaf Hot Cocoa Surprise at The Ganachery.
During this season you will find decorations to take home and various Christmas souvenirs. Mickey’s Vintage Christmas collection features shades of red and green, white and mint. Visitors will also be able to show off the cozy Homestead tartan collection and a special themed line to celebrate Hanukkah.
