Disney World is preparing incredible surprises for one of the favorite seasons of many travelers, the holiday season, where guests will celebrate festive experiences, try new flavors and be part of the return of many favorite events.

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party

For 24 select nights from November 8 to December 22, the Magic Kingdom will get into the holiday spirit with activities such as:

“Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration”, a show where Mickey and his friends will appear on the Cinderella Castle stage, in addition to singers, dancers and surprises choreographed to the rhythm of Christmas music medleys.

Buzz Lightyear, Mike Wazowski and Stitch will invite guests to line up for an out-of-this-world show, “A Totally Tomorrowland Christmas,” on the Rockettower Plaza Stage.”

Travelers will have three new photo opportunities with Disney PhotoPass and will receive a special commemorative souvenir of the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World.

New treats including the Texas-sized Sweet Potato Pie with marshmallow meringue and candied pecans at Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Café will accompany returning favorites like Mickey-shaped Cinnamon Glazed Roll and Holiday Sprinkles at Main Street Bakery.

To celebrate Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, you must purchase a separate ticket, which are limited and can be purchased on the Walt Disney World page with prices ranging from $140 to $199 per person.

“Candlelight Processional” will return to EPCOT, where each night at the America Gardens Theater will feature celebrity storytellers retelling the Christmas story accompanied by Voices of Liberty, a 50-piece live orchestra with herald trumpets and glorious choirs made up of members from the Disney cast and Central Florida community groups.

Returning visitor favorites include the Maple Bûche de Noël which will be available at the Holiday Hearth Holiday Kitchen. This sweet treat is made from maple mousse and blueberries rolled in gingerbread cake.

The Santa Claus Merry Motorcade will feature the jolly St. Nicholas cruising down Hollywood Blvd. in his candy apple red convertible filled with presents.

Olaf will star in a festive finale at “For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration” that delights guests with holiday songs.

Magic Kingdom

On nights that Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is not taking place, Cinderella’s Castle will transform into a magical Christmas look with special projection effects, festive colors and a variety of designs including a fantastical Christmas sweater, castle jeweled and more.

Disney Springs

Guests can discover good news at Disney Springs through special food and beverage options, decorations and entertainment to celebrate the holiday season.

A collection of trees with Disney decorations will be on display as part of the Disney Springs Christmas Tree Stroll presented by AdventHealth. Located throughout Disney Springs, these festively decorated trees add to the holiday atmosphere. Additionally, visitors will be able to be part of a treasure hunt to find all the trees. Once completed, they will be able to take it to a redemption location for a special surprise.

Visitors will be able to walk in a winter wonderland, strolling through Town Center and the West Side as angelic flurries of snow add a touch of magic to holiday shopping.

Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar transforms into a Holiday Bar with cheerful decorations to ring in the happy season. For a limited time, guests can enjoy themed sips and appetizers to get into the spirit of the season.

Visitors will find Santa at Once Upon a Toy, where they can take photos and share holiday wishes with him.

Enjoy new and returning holiday foods at Disney Springs, like the Olaf Hot Cocoa Surprise at The Ganachery.
