Ingredients
500 grams of wheat flour
300 grams of butter
200 grams of sugar
2 packets of vanilla sugar (16 grams each)
4 egg yolks
1 tablespoon of rum
Rind of a lemon
Directions
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, butter, sugar, egg yolks, rum, lemon zest and vanilla sugar.
Knead the ingredients well with your hands until you form a smooth dough and leave it in the fridge for about 30 minutes. - Divide the dough into two halves and roll them out with a rolling pin on a clean, smooth, floured surface.
Cut out Christmas-themed cookie molds, then place the cookies side-by-side on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. - Place the cookies in a preheated oven at 200º₢ and bake them for approximately 10 to 12 minutes, or until they start to brown slightly.
- Carefully remove the cookies from the oven and allow them to cool to room temperature.
