Ingredients

  • Chicken
  • 1 whole chicken

  • 1 chopped onion

  • 4 cloves of minced garlic

  • 1 tablespoon of oil

  • 1 tablespoon of salt

  • 1 chicken broth tablet

  • Color to taste

  • Saffron to taste

  • Oregano to taste optional

  • Parsley and chives to taste optional

  • 1 liter of hot water

  • Rice
  • 2 tablespoons of oil

  • 1/2 chopped onion

  • 2 cloves of minced garlic

  • 2 cups of rice

  • 1/2 can of corn

  • 1/2 can of peas

  • Chicken cooking water

Directions

  • Chicken
  • In a pressure cooker, add 2 tablespoons of oil;
  • Add 1 chopped onion;
  • Add 4 minced garlic cloves;
  • Let it brown;
  • Add 1 whole chicken cut into pieces;
  • Add juice of half a lemon;
  • Add half a tablespoon of salt;
  • Add 1 chicken broth tablet;
  • Add some paprika;
  • Add turmeric to taste;
  • Add oregano to taste;
  • Mix well and let it cook for approximately 5 minutes;
  • Add 1 liter of hot water;
  • Cover and let it cook for 30 minutes;
  • Rice
  • In a pan, add 2 tablespoons of oil;
  • Add half a chopped onion;
  • Add 2 cloves of minced garlic;
  • Add half a tablespoon of salt;
  • Let it brown;
  • Add 2 cups of washed and drained rice;
  • Let it braise;
  • Add half a can of corn;
  • Add half a can of peas;
  • Add parsley, sausage and chives;
  • Mix;
  • Add the chicken with the cooking water;
  • Mix well;
  • Cover the pan and let it cook until the water dries up;
