Warm up with great lightness and flavor with this cassava broth!

Ingredients

  • About 1.5 liters of water

  • 700 grams of cassava

  • 150 grams of chopped bacon

  • 150 grams of chopped pepperoni

  • 100 grams of kale chopped into thin strips

  • 2 minced garlic cloves

  • 2 tablespoons chopped onion

  • Black pepper to taste

  • Salt to taste

Directions

  • Peel and cut the mandioquinha into slices and place in a pan with water until completely covered. 
    Cook until tender, drain and transfer to a blender. 
    Add cooking water halfway, beat well and set aside.
  • Fry the diced bacon in a pan until golden, stirring constantly. 
    Add the onion and sauté until it starts to wilt. 
    Add the chopped pepperoni and fry a little, then put the garlic and brown it too. 
    Put the cabbage in strips, salt and pepper to taste and sauté for a few minutes.
  • Add the beaten cassava mixture to the pan and add a little more of the cooking water. 
    Add a little more salt if necessary, cook for a few more minutes stirring constantly and the cassava broth is ready.
