Today, May 11, we celebrate Blessed John Rochester and James Walworth who were Christian priests and martyrs.

Blessed John Rochester and James Walworth during the persecutions against Christians ordered by King Henry VIII, for having remained faithful to the Catholic Church, they were hung with chains on the battlements of the city until they died.

Blessed John Rochester was born around the year 1498 and both died in the year 1537.

Pope Leo XIII beatified them on December 29, 1886.

There is no further information about the life and work of Blessed John Rochester and James Walworth.

Although what is a fact is that its celebration takes place on the day May 11.
