A few days ago, The Cloud Gate and the area surrounding it, in Millenium Park, reopened after several months of remodeling work.
In a statement, the City of Chicago announced that locals and travelers can now once again have full access to Cloud Gate (also known as The Bean), and will also be able to enter new spaces, such as the Plaza podium which includes new stairs, accessible ramps, and accessibility improvements to Grainger Plaza.
The Cloud Gate, which measures 10 meters high, is a sculpture by Indo-British artist Anish Kapoor, which has graced Millennium Park in Chicago for almost 20 years and is the most visited attraction in the American Midwest.
This is certainly good news for travelers who will soon visit Chicago, as a visit to the Windy City is not complete without going to Millennium Park and admiring the Cloud Gate.
